PM Meets with Chery Holding Group's Deputy General Manager to Discuss Investment Prospects

Phnom Penh, August 9, 2024 — On Friday morning, Prime Minister Hun Manet met with Mr. Xu Hui, Deputy General Manager of Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd., at the Peace Palace. The meeting served as a courtesy call and an opportunity to discuss potential areas of cooperation between Cambodia and the Chinese automotive giant.

Founded in 1997, Chery Holding Group is a leading player in China's high-tech automobile industry. The company has expressed a strong interest in investing in Cambodia, particularly in the automotive and parts manufacturing sectors. This potential investment aligns with Cambodia's economic development goals, offering promising opportunities for economic growth, job creation, and skills development for the country's youth.
